South Africa's pace spearhead, Dale Steyn, has revealed that he learned the craft of copping with pain on his skateboard.

The pacer believes that he has nurtured his skills of pace through skateboarding, as he used to train on it till he achieved perfection. According to him, fractures and blood from the fall, never deterred him as he sought the right results, News.com.au reported.

Growing up on the fringes of Kruger National Park, Steyn was introduced to the game of cricket, when he witnessed some children playing at a school. Coming from a humble background, Steyn went on to use second-hand boots from Shaun Pollock when he ventured into first-class cricket.

Amongst the greatest quicks of all time, Dale Steyn has already claimed 383 wickets from 75 Tests in his international career.
