Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has claimed that the visions of the horrific Phillip Hughes' bouncer incident would be coming back to the squad's players who were on the Sydney Cricket Ground pitch that day as they gear up for the fourth Test against India starting on Tuesday.

Australian players who were on the SCG pitch on the day Hughes was struck by a bouncer, that resulted in his passing two days later, are bracing for visions of the horrific incident to come flooding back when the fourth Test gets under way.

Watson had been one of four members of the Australian team who were in the field only metres from Hughes during the first class Sheffield Shield match on November 25 when he was struck in the head and collapsed, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Watson admits that the harrowing events they experienced that day would be difficult to shut out of their minds when they make an emotional return to the ground for the final leg of the series this week.

Watson stated that it's the first time he has been back there since just before Hughes' funeral. He added that it was always a time that he wasn't really looking forward to, coming back to the ground. But, the all-rounder claimed that in the end, enough time has sort of passed to be able to find his own personal way to be able to deal with what happened to Hughes.

He is sure that once he gets out into the middle and playing, those visions would be coming back.

The all-rounder claimed that the Australians were yet to address the subject of playing again at the SCG as a group, but they realise thoughts of Hughes would be inescapable.

Watson had been fielding for New South Wales against Hughes' South Australia with national teammates Brad Haddin, Nathan Lyon and David Warner on the day the bouncer struck the late batsman, the report added.
