Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Sunday lifted the ban on Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's entry to the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai after three years.

The decision was taken in a Managing Committee meeting of the MCA.

Speaking to the media, MCA Vice President Ashish Shelar said, "We have lifted the Wankhede ban from Shah Rukh Khan"

The Bollywood superstar was banned for five years from entering MCA premises, including the Wankhede Stadium, by the association's managing committee, headed by the late Vilasrao Deshmukh, on May 18, 2012 after he was involved in a spat with security staff and officials of the cricket body after his team's victory over Mumbai Indians two nights earlier.

Shah Rukh Khan however had denied all allegations. Whereas, Mumbai Cricket Association officials had rubbished Shah Rukh Khan's version that the scuffle broke out after MCA officials manhandled his kids who he had come to pick after the IPL match.
