On Sunday at the season-ending F1 race in Brazil it was again Sebastian Vettel who was at the lead of the field at the chequered flag which signalled the end of the race as well as the 2013 season.

The quadruple F1 World Champion matched the 60-year-old record set by Alberto Ascari who won the final six races of 1952 and the first three of 1953 as the German won every single race since the summer break.

Sebastian Vettel also managed to equal Michael Schumacher's record of 13 race wins in a season a feat that he was looking to equal last year as well. But this year was the year that the F1 champion matched his German countryman.

Vettel managed to extend his continuous race win streak to 9 this year. The 26-year-old celebrated this win in the wet conditions with a doughnuts show yet again for fans.

Since the Indian GP when Sebastian Vettel managed to win his fourth title in a row he has been celebrating his race wins with doughnuts much to the delight of fans changing the boos to cheers.

The race in Brazil which was the last in the season was also Vettel's teammate Mark Webber's last race as he moves to compete in the Porsche racing circuits. Webber was second and Fernando Alonso was third in the race.

Felipe Massa raced in his last race for Ferrari at this race and also did some 360 degree spins for his home crowd.

F1 fans will be hoping 2014 and the new season see an end of the Vettel dominance which many critics say has become boring and remind them of the Michael Schumacher-Ferrari era in the early 2000s.

With new rules set to come into force in 2014, Red Bull's Adrian Newey will need to rack his brains to produce the stellar car that has received the credit for Vettel's race dominance for the past few years.
