In honour of late Australian batsman Phillip Hughes, a plaque would be unveiled at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Monday, a day before the fourth and final Test between Australia and India starts.

The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust would place a plaque featuring a small bust of the late Hughes on the wall of the Member's Pavilion outside the home dressing round as one of a number of planned tributes.

Hughes' death five weeks ago in November after being struck by a bouncer at the SCG shocked the cricketing world, Stuff.co.nz reported.

Cricket Australia is yet to announce its tribute plans ahead of what is sure to be an emotional Sydney Test, which starts on Tuesday.

The plaque would feature highlights from Hughes' career at the famous ground, where he made his first-class debut for New South Wales in 2007 and played his first home Test against Pakistan in 2010.

Sixty-three bats, each recording a moment in Hughes' career, would be temporarily fixed to the outside upper deck of the Members Pavilion for the duration of the Test, the report added.
