Sania Mirza advances to third round after Australian Open doubles win

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza have advanced to the third round of the Australian Open tournament after winning their respective second-round doubles matches on Saturday at Melbourne Park.

Mirza and her Zimbabwean partner Cara Black strolled to victory in their second-round women's doubles match following a 7-5, 6-1 win over Monica Niculescu from Romania and her Czech partner Klara Zakopalova.

However, Mahesh Bhupathi and his American partner Rajeev Ram were ousted after a 4-6 6-7(7) defeat by second seeded combination of Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares.
