Cristiano Ronaldo in La Liga match against Granada was accompanied by the 8-year-old Syrian refugee whose father was tripped by a Hungarian camerawoman.

Young Zaid's father Osama Abdul Mohsen was tripped by camerawoman Petra Laszlo while they were fleeing a Hungarian holding camp close to the border with Zaid in his arms.

The incident led to international outrage and Laszlo was fired by her television station.

Zaid, decked up in football attire, was welcomed on the ground with a thunderous round of applause, reports People magazine. His father, a former football coach, and elder brother Mohammad are invited to the Spanish capital and are offered a job and a place to live by a Spanish football school.

Real Madrid have announced aid of $1.13 million to Syrian refugees.
