Ravindra Jadeja has been in a rich vein of form off-late. After picking up five-wicket hauls in both innings of the Duleep Trophy final, he has gone on to cement his place as the second spinner in India's Test 11 on the back of impressive performances with both bat and ball, in the on-going Test series against New Zealand.

On day two of the third Test, however, Sir Jadeja was involved in an incident which could have caused serious harm to Kiwi pacer Trent Boult.

While trying to scramble for a quick single, Jadeja was on a collision course with Boult who had fallen on the floor after completing his delivery stride. Wanting to complete his single and having seen the Kiwi pacer on the floor rather late, Jadeja decided to take the high road and leapfrog over him.

Though no one was hurt in the process, Boult would have been in serious trouble had Jadeja mistimed his jump and landed on the pacer with his metal spikes on.

Ravindra Jadeja was on Sunday fined 50% of his match fee and also received three demerit points for infringing the protected area on the pitch during the second day's play in the third cricket Test against New Zealand in Indore.
