Ravichandarn Ashwin is a no-nonsense kind of person. The talismanic Indian all-rounder is known to be extremely focussed, and someone who doesn't back away from a challenge. On the field, he likes to be that person who takes most wickets and scores maximum runs. This aggressive attitude has helped him immensely to get him where he is today.

But even apart from the game, Ashwin is a man who doesn't like taking things lying down. In a recent Test against England, he walked up to James Anderson and gave him a piece of his mind after the fast-bowler had said some unpleasant things about India's skipper Virat Kohli the previous day. Even on social media, Ashwin likes to regularly interact with his followers and doesn't shy away from giving it back to the trollers.

It doesn't come as a surprise then that the off-spinner decided to set things straight with a Twitter user who was upset that the senior International bowler decided to skip his state side Tamil Nadu's Ranji Trophy semi-final encounter against Mumbai. "@ashwinravi99 wish U supported TN in the Ranji semis by playing. A Golden opportunity to win after decades. Lament skilled INTL players skip," wrote the user.

Here's the tweet:

Even though the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association was keen on fielding Ashwin in the Ranji knockout match, the offie chose to skip it since he was advised rest after suffering from sports hernia at the conclusion of the five-match Test series against England.

Ashwin promptly replied to the Twitter user saying he wasn't a machine and needed rest after the exhausting Test series. "@BalaVenkat79 sir this is a human body that I live inside, not a machine.Kindly be compassionate," he wrote.

Here's Ashwin's tweet:

Well, you can't get the better of this man.
