Mumbai's middle-order mainstay Suryakumar Yadav proved his mettle yet again on Monday when he teamed up with left-handed opener Praful Waghela to guide his team to 111 for 1 at Tea on Day 2 against Tamil Nadu in the on-going Ranji Trophy semi-final being played at Rajkot.

The right-handed batsman played a counter-attacking knock, studded with 10 boundaries and a six to remain unbeaten on 67 going in to lunch. Waghela, on the other hand was more sedate and toiled hard for his 39 runs.

With the wicket being complete flat, Mumbai are well on their way to knock over Tamil Nadu's first innings total of 305. Having said that, if they lose a couple of quick wickets post Tea then the game could still have some life left in it.

Earlier, veteran Abhishek Nayar once again showed his class when he, along with pacer Shardul Thakur, picked up four wickets to shoot-out Tamil Nadu for what is a modest total on such a flat track.
