Ranji trophy: Sangram Dilip Atitkar sends Bengal on a leather hunt

Middle-order batsman Sangram Dilip Atitkar smashed his first hundred of the season for Maharashtra in their Ranji Trophy semifinal tie against Bengal at the Holkar Stadium here on Sunday. At stumps, Bengal were 16/1, still 325 away from making Maharashtra bat again.

Atitkar made 168 of 228 balls that included 29 boundaries. Maharashtra were dismissed for  with 455.

Karnataka skipper R Vinay Kumar picked up five wickets as Punjab suffered a collapse — 165/2 to 270 all out — on Day Two of the Ranji Trophy semifinal at the PCA Stadium in Mohali on Sunday.
