When one thinks of Rahul Dravid, one thinks of respect. India's greatest ever batsman at No. 3 in Tests is not just remembered for his exploits on the field, he is to date revered for his absolute devotion to his team and the game.

'The Wall', as he was fondly called, was a player who always stood up when his team needed him most. For many, he was even a notch above Sachin Tendulkar when it came to Tests.

The former Indian captain's grit and determination inspired an entire generation of cricketers in India. And as Dravid turned 44 on Wednesday, he gave another glimpse of just how much the game means to him.

While many would've chosen to flaunt their grand birthday celebrations, Dravid, true to his style, chose to share a video with his followers on social media which spoke about how cricket has been a gift in his life that has kept giving.

Here's what Dravid wrote alongside the video he posted: Birthdays are an annual reminder of how much cricket has contributed to my life. It has been a gift that keeps on giving -- friendships, experiences, affection and so much more -- and that makes me incredibly grateful. Fortunately, it is a gift that can be passed on and shared with just about anyone and this is something that brings me joy. Here's a short video I'd like to share with you all today.
