South Africa's pace spearhead Dale Steyn and batsman Hashim Amla have revealed that they are not 'focused' on the Test rankings, post their recent 220-run win over a beleaguered West Indies, at Centurion on Saturday.

South Africa is in little danger of losing their number one ranking in Tests, as a series victory by any margin against the West Indies, who are plagued by pay disputes, player withdrawals, injuries and poor form, would maintain their position at the top of the ratings.

Amla stated that the number one spot is not main focus for them. He added that they are 'not sure' what's going to happen in Australia, and are doing 'what they do best'.

Although Australia currently lead India 2-0 at the halfway stage of their four-Test series, even a series whitewash for the hosts would not be enough to surpass South Africa if they win their three-Test series against the West Indies.

The skipper claimed that they are 'just trying to win the series', adding that 'everything else would take care of itself'. He concluded that it is 'about keeping the consistency going'.
