England internationals, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy, are having the time of their career at the moment. Be it club football or international level, both are in fine form.

But if you rewind the time by a couple of years, people barely knew them. Go back further, they were struggling to make it to the first team of Championship football, let alone the Premier League. But their dedication, hard work, and some amount of luck has turned their fortunes around as they are being labelled starts now.

Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy were Leicester City team mates, sharing the bench, before joining the England. The cover photo shows how desperate both of them look as they sit on the substitute bench along side Danny Drinkwater.

While Harry Kane proved his worth by shifting to Tottenham, the sacking of Nigel Person from Leicester City paved way for Vardy and Drinkwater.

People won't belive the story of Vardy, who is in contention for the Golden Shoe with Harry Kane and already broken record of scoring in most consecutive games, played Non-League football ie. the fifth tier of English football in 2012.

Both, Kane and Vardy, played a pivotal role in England's 3-2 comeback against champions Germany by scoring fine goals. Ahead of their game against Netherlands, the trio had a laugh at the photo.

"Me and Danny Drinkwater were having a joke and he showed me a picture of us three sitting there as we played at Watford," Kane said. "It is crazy. Football is a funny game and it can change quickly. It shows what hard work and dedication can do. We have come a long way, but it does not stop here as we have a lot of hard work to do to keep progressing and moving forward," reports Fox Sports.

Vardy added: "I've seen the photo - it's crazy isn't it? What a difference a couple of years make. Every day, when I have a bit of time alone, I think about the journey I've been on."

Not only have Kane and Vardy had personal glories, they have guided their respective clubs- Tottenham Hotspurs and Leicester City- to Premier League dominance. Both are set to play Champions League football for the first time in next season and are currently vying for the PL title with Leicester 5 points clear at top ahead of Spurs.
