Jose Mourinho might not bring back Manchester United to winning ways in the Premier League but has surely found out a way to help his players concentrate more on matchdays. He is clearly unhappy with what his players post on Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram. Therefore to stem the flow of sensitive information, he has now set a new social media policy.

The first team players have been notified that they cannot post any picture from training, from the preceding 48 hours of the game. They also cannot post any media from the team bus on the way to games. United have kept a close look on players’ social media posts and if there is any post which paints the club in a bad light have been cautioned for doing so.

Luke Shaw faced the wrath of his manager and assistant coach Rui Faria when he  posted footage of himself training at home in November as he recovered from an injury. The video albeit did not give out sensitive information, but suggested that United's medical team were laid back to get the player fit.

Mourinho's new policy has been communicated to the social media team as well, so that posts do not leak out any information.
