Prime Minister Modi appreciated India's Rio Paralympics medallists' efforts and accomplishments.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met the medal winners and participants of Rio Paralympics 2016 at his residence in New Delhi. During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi appreciated their efforts and accomplishments.
Later in a tweet, he said he is delighted to meet the Indian contingent who made the country proud at the Paralympics.

India bagged two Gold, one Silver and one Bronze medal in the event. Devendra Jhajharia bagged gold medal in javelin throw and Mariyappan Thangavelu got gold medal in High Jump. While Deepa Malik got Silver medal in shotput Varun Bhati bagged Bronze medal in High Jump event.
