Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has claimed that Robert Lewandowski is the 'most professional player' he has ever come across.

The Poland international is being linked heavily with a move away from reigning Bundesliga champions this summer. Many speculations were raised after club CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge declared his interest in Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain.

This sparked an interest in two of the biggest clubs in Europe to have a possible transfer target- Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. Both clubs have a close monitor on Lewa's situation at the club.

To add to that, Guardiola's move to Manchester City to take over the managerial position also sparked interest from the club to bid for Lewandowski.

But among all these speculations, Guardiola praised Lewandowski's professional attitude and his lack of distraction from his duties at the present club. “He is the most professional player I have ever met,” said Guardiola, ahead of Bayern's German Cup quarter-final against Bochum.

“He is always there, never injured, because he focuses on these things. He always knows what is important to be in the best condition.” Pep added.

The Poland international has a contract with Bayern until June 2019. He was in the news recently after he hit an astonishing 5 goals in just 9 minutes. He currently has 19 goals to his tally from 19 Bundesliga games.
