Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has described the latest developments at the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) as a "blackmailing tactic". An anti-faction in RCA led by Amin Pathan on Saturday allegedly removed former IPL commissioner Modi from president's post in a bid to end its stand-off with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).  The resolution to impeach Modi was apparently passed after 23 of the 33 districts voted against the former BCCI vice-president.

"Some disgruntled members probably didn't get their way in selection of boys and thus revolted. Not worried about such vested people," Modi told PTI here today. "No interference in selection has always been my mantra – this if someone wants to revolt, most welcome. But at my watch, no interference or blackmailing will be allowed," he added. Earlier in December 2013, Modi had won a court-supervised election with 29 out of 33 units voting in his favour.
