The Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) media manager on Wednesday has denied reports of any internal rift between fielding coach Grant Luden and players, calling reports lacking authenticity.

According to the Dawn, PCB media manager Agha Akhbar said that the team was focusing on the World Cup and that the rumours of rift between players and staff had no authenticity.

Reflecting on the rumours, a senior player said that a team needs support of media and people during events like World Cup and with such rumours it would only demoralize the confidence of the players.

Earlier, reports emerged that Luden had resigned over the non-cooperative attitude of some players, claiming that the trainer felt extremely disappointed with their poor show against India in the opening match in Adelaide.
