Pakistan thrash Australia by 356 runs, record biggest ever Test win in history

Pakistan soared to their biggest Test win, as they defeated Australia by a whooping 356 runs in the second Test match in UAE, and clinched the series 2-0.

The Pakistani spinners ripped into the Australian batting line up after lunch, claiming five quick wickets for 46 runs.

This is the first time since 1994 that Pakistan has won a Test series against Australia.

Pakistan had put up a massive first innings total of 570-6, while Australia were all out on 261.

The home team declared on 293-3 in their second innings and set Australia 603 for victory.

The visitors were reduced to 143-4 by the end of the penultimate day and were left reeling against the Pakistani spinners.

The Pakistani bowlers ripped apart the rest of Australia's batting line-up to clinch a 356 run victory as well as a series whitewash.

All rounder Steven Smith scored 97 for Australia, before being trapped leg before by spinner Yasir Shah, who delivered match figures of 3 for 44.

Mohammad Hafeez finished with 2 for 38, while Zulfiqar Babar claimed 5 for 120, thus condemning the visitors to an embarrasing defeat.

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul Haq was named Man of the match for his brilliant knocks of 101, in the first as well as second innings

Younis Khan was named Man of the series for his heroics throughout the two test matches.

Pakistan will next play New Zealand in a three-match Test series, followed by two Twenty20s and five ODIs, the report added.
