Pakistan big-hitter Shahid Afridi eyes T-20 career post retirement from ODI's

Pakistan swashbuckling all-rounder Shahid Afridi is looking forward to have a career in the shorter version of the sport after he calls curtains on his one-day international career at the end of the upcoming World Cup.

The veteran batsman has reportedly expressed his desire to feature in the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL) edition just days after signing with English county Northants for the T20 Blast.

BBL senior manager Anthony Everard said that after the massive impact overseas players such as Kevin Pietersen, Andrew Flintoff and Darren Sammy had on the Big Bash League this season it was encouraging to see Pakistan legend Shahid Afridi appearing to head down a T20 career path following his ODI retirement at the end of the World Cup, the Dawn reported.

Afridi holds the record of hitting the most number of sixes in One-day Internationals with 342 to his credit and has a batting strike rate of 145.29 from 77 T20 games for Pakistan.
