The Mike Snoei-coached Pune FC is banking on his experienced players when they take on Singapore's Tampines Rovers in a must-win Group-H Round-4 encounter at the Balewadi Sports Complex here on Tuesday.

Terming it as a last chance to salvage some pride and stay in contention, Snoei wants to bring in the experienced players.

"Pune FC is a young side but there are a couple of experienced guys who could come in handy so that we make the most of it," said Snoei.

Snoei felt that the tight scheduling of the I-League and the AFC Cup could be one reason for his team's poor show. At the same time, he wants to be positive in their approach in the games ahead. Snoei added that both I-League and the AFC Cup are equally important for Pune FC.

"Last year, we (Pune FC) fought very hard to qualify for the AFC Cup. I want to see our team's ability on the Asian level. But again, I-League is also an important competition for us."

Skipper Douhou Pierre said: "If we get all three points on Tuesday, we will be in a better position when we go to Myanmar (to play Nay Pyi Taw) and then host Kitchee in Pune. It's a last chance for us tomorrow and we need to win."

Tampines coach Salim Moin said that even a draw, if not a win, will do good for his team. Tampines, who won the first leg against Pune FC 3-1, are currently in their fourth consecutive AFC Cup, and seventh overall.
