Fundamentalist crusaders on social media found another soft target on Saturday, with former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif facing the heat for posting pictures on Twitter in which he can be seeing doing the Surya Namaskar.

"Surya Namaskar is a complete workout for the physical system, a comprehensive exercise form without any need for equipment," said Kaif in his tweet.

Here's the 'controversial' tweet:

Soon after humiliating fast-bowler Mohammed Shami for the choice of his wife's clothes, moral police took to social media to teach Kaif a lesson on the teachings of Islam. Bigots were quick to point out that Kaif's adopted form of exercise was against the religion he practises.

But the right-handed batsman from Uttar Pradesh didn't take things lying down. He had a befitting reply for all the baseless accusations being hurled at him. "In all four pics, I had Allah in my heart. Can't understand what doing any exercise, Surya Namaskar or gym, has to do with religion. It benefits all," he said.
