The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Thursday issued a show-cause notice to Mohun Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen for making comments against the apex body a few days ago.

Taking a dig at the AIFF last week, Sen said it has been "sold out" after his request for rescheduling of an I-League match was ignored by the football body. Mohun Bagan had won their Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League first qualifying round match against Singaporean side Tampines Rovers 3-1 on January 27.

After the match Sen wanted to avoid playing an I-League away game on January 30 against DSK Shivajians as they had to fly out to China next to take on Shandong Luneng for the second qualifying round on February 2. Instead of the match being put on hold, its start was advanced by two hours. Mohun Bagan crashed out of the AFC Champions League after losing 0-6 to Luneng.
