Golf ace Rory McIlroy continues to enjoy the golden days of his career after dominating world rankings since July, on the back of his four titles in 2014.

McIlroy overtook Australian Adam Scott, who remained on top of the world rankings for a short while, thanks to three back-to-back golf championship wins, Sport24 reported.

Meanwhile, former world number one Tiger Woods, who has suffered a year marred with injuries and fitness issues, slid to 17th place in the world rankings.

The Top 20 players in the latest rankings after the European Tour's Portugal Masters and the PGA Tour's Frys.com Open are:
