Chelsea football team midfielder Nemanja Matic has backed his side to win a record quadruple, although no club has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup in the same season.

Matic, who rejoined Chelsea from Benfica for 21 million pounds in January, said that he believes it is possible to win the quadruple, claiming that his side has the chance.

Chelsea, who currently lead the Premier League table, are in the Capital One Cup semifinals, the last 16 of the Champions League and have yet to start their FA Cup campaign, the BBC reported.

The Serb also said that he doesn't want to say that they are going to but added that they are going to try. He claimed that his side has quality and is confident. He further said that he believes in his team and teammates, so everything is possible.

However, manager Jose Mourinho has already played down Chelsea's chances of a quadruple. He said that they don't speak about it, adding that they have their feet on the ground.
