Narendra Modi to meet Rio 2016-bound athletes today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet India's Rio Olympic-bound athletes on Monday. 

Prime Minister Modi will meet the Olympic contingent at the Manekshaw Centre in the national capital, an official statement said. He will interact with the sportspersons and wish them well for their performance in the world's biggest sporting arena. 

So far, around 100 athletes from 13 sports disciplines have qualified for the Rio Olympics. Rio 2016 Summer Olympics will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from August 5 to 21.
