The world may be talking about who's the top footballer between Messi and Ronaldo, but in Diego Maradona's mind, he's still No 1.

CNN Anchor Becky Anderson asked Maradona the age old question," Messi or Ronaldo?", and the Argentinian was quick to endorse his countryman Lionel Messi.

The former World Cup winner was quick to admit that Messi is "killing it with his goals", scoring 328 for club and country, far surpassing his own tally of 293 for club and country.

But in spite of their striking resemblance being the little men on a football field, and both wearing blue and white of Argentina, and the blue and red of Barcelona, Maradona stated that his goals were "more beautiful" than his.

"I think that I had my own style from the very beginning, and that is the point in which I could be better than Messi, claimed the flamboyant striker who was famously known for his "Hand of God" goal against England in the 1986 World Cup.

Messi who was lauded by former coach Pep Guardiola after their semi-final clash in the UEFA Champions League, " is still finding his own style", according to his former Argentina manager Maradona.

Messi is still "finding his own style, most likely he will find it very soon.", claims Maradona in his interview with CNN anchor Becky Anderson.
