According to reports in Spain, Pep Guardiola has agreed to join the blue side of Manchester at the end of this season. The former Barcelona manager is in his third and final year of his contract at Bayern Munich and Bayern's chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted that they have yet to start negotiations over extending his stay. Reports suggest that he will succeed Manuel Pellegrini after this season. Earlier, Man Utd legend Paul Scholes had predicted that Pep Guardiola would take over at Manchester City.

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelloti is rumoured to be the favourite to take over from Guardioloa. “It is not planned to push back that date,” said Rummenigge. “We have always said there will be a decision in 2015. I know that it’s late, just days before Christmas. But the talks will be held after the Hannover match, and we’ll then announce a decision.

“It always continues. There is no person in this world who can’t be replaced at some point. That’s the state of things. Players come, players go, and the same applies to coaches. They come and they go at one point.”

In his relatively short managerial career, Pep Guardiola has won 3 La Ligas, 2 Copa Del Rays, one Supercup, 2 Champions Leagues, 3 Uefa Super Cups, 3 FIFA World Cups, 2 Bundesligas and one German Cup.
