London: England batsman Michael Carberry is reportedly keeping his hopes alive of returning to the Test squad despite criticising the England management.

Carberry opened in all five Ashes Tests in Australia but questioned the England coaches and selectors after being left out of the subsequent one-day series and World Twenty20.

According to the BBC, Carberry, whose unbeaten century helped Hampshire to a County Championship win over Gloucestershire, ended the Ashes series as England's third-highest run-scorer and he said that he is always been proud to represent his country.

Carberry however, said that he does not make the decisions over selection, adding his main concern currently is helping his county win promotion from Division Two.

Carberry further said that in order to keep his Test place, he would have to continue the form that saw him score an unbeaten century against Gloucestershire.
