Michael Clarke who scored a century in Australia's second innings was on top with his captaincy as he lead his team to a win by a mammoth 381 runs.
But the Australian captain got into a scuffle with English fast bowler James Anderson when the latter was batting as England were chasing the huge 500 plus target. Anderson first had a verbal duel with George Bailey and the umpires intervened as did Clarke who told the England last man, "get ready for a f****** broken hand" with Australian bowling spearhead Johnson set to bowl to him.
The video of the encounter between the players went viral on YouTube with many people criticising Michael Clarke for his immature handling of the volatile situation.
Anderson has also dismissed Clarke eight times in 18 Tests, more than any other England bowler which is a plus for his side as the New South Welshman is Australia's best and most senior batsman.
The on and off-field battle between the duo could be an interesting contest for the remainder of the series and could well influence the result of the winter Ashes.
