Mayanti Langer, one of India's few female sports anchors, who also happens to be the wife of cricketer Stuart Binny, gave a befitting reply to all those who trolled and insulted her on social media after he performed poorly in the first T20.
Hapless Indian bowlers were mercilessly hammered for a record 21 sixes as the West Indies posted the third highest ever T20 International innings score of 245 for 6 in a sensational batting display by the Caribbeans in the first of the two Twenty20 match. Binny, who was introduced in the 11th over, was hit for five sixes by Lewis for a total of 32 runs, narrowly escaping the ignominy of giving away six sixes in an over.
Many people posted sexist tweets directed at Mayanti after Binny's performance. Here are a few of them:

Keep making fun of Binny. It doesn't matter. At the end of the day, he is the guy who gets to sleep with Mayanti Langer.

Let that sink in.
But Mayanti not only shut the haters up but also handled the bullying with grace. She tweeted a message saying, "I hope no one ever demands the death of your loved ones or sends you violent images threatening the same. Taunting me with suicide is shameful. Think of the families that suffer because of this tragedy and you have reduced their plight to a joke."
She further took their case by saying, "I hope you find love and loyalty. By suggesting divorce, suggests you haven't. I've been working since I was 18. Instead of calling me a gold-digger, go get a job and earn the right to support yourself and your families."
"I hope bullying us made you feel better about yourselves, cause otherwise was it really worth it?" asks Mayanti, ending with a 'wishing you all the best.'
