London: Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has said that the club should get a new manager this summer if they want to change the style of playing, but has reportedly insisted that he will not change the way he plays the game next season if the club fails to win the Premier League.

Pellegrini said that the way in which he wants to win the title would be for City to be the best team of the year, to play attractive football for the fans and to be a team with character and personality.

However, Pellegrini said if that is not what the City owners want then maybe another manager can come and take his place who wants to play by kicking the ball high, trying to score just one goal to end the game and complaining about the referee every week, the Mirror reported.

Pellegrini said that one can have a little advantage with some unfair play but he feels that it is not the way to do it, adding that after the game at Liverpool it would have been very easy for him to talk about the referee and despite it being the most important game of the year, he said nothing about the referee.

Pellegrini's side will face Crystal Palace in their upcoming Premier League clash and the City boss knows that City's title hopes could be all but finished at kickoff if Liverpool beat Chelsea in their clash, which would put him under scrutiny from City owners if they decide that only winning the Capital One Cup is a poor return for their mega-millions investment, the report added.
