Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly demanded his squad to develop a killer instinct.

Though United won their last two games, they were left hanging on for 2-1 victories against West Ham United and Everton. The club next faces West Bromwich Albion on Monday, with Van Gaal determined his side show a ruthless streak and start killing off games.

Van Gaal said that apart from balance in the team, he also wants spectacular attacking football from the side. He added that when United lose the ball, they must shape well as a team and should defend better and kill the game, The Mirror reported.

The Dutchman said that the players understand the philosophy better, but have to put it into action.

Van Gaal said his 10 man injury list was now down to four. Though Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling were all back in training, Van Gaal was coy over whether any of those players would be involved against West Brom.
