Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal warns players about future

Manchester United football team manager Louis van Gaal has warned the squad that all of them are playing for the future at the club, hinting that he might have to take tough decisions.

Van Gaal has been ruthless since taking charge at Old Trafford in the summer, having sold Danny Welbeck, Shinji Kagawa, Darren Fletcher, Anderson and Wilfried Zaha; and banishing Nani to Sporting Lisbon on loan.

The Dutchman has admitted that there could be more casualties, despite admitting that making tough decisions about players does not come easy to him, The Mirror reported.

Van Gaal said that he believes all of them are playing for their future and all of them are aware of that, adding that the players know they have to perform; not just in the matches, but also on the training pitch.

He claimed that it always has to be 100 percent, adding that maybe a lot of players were not aware of that but insisted that now they know.

Van Gaal said that it is not easy for him to make tough decisions because he knows that most of his players are trying to do their utmost best, adding that when one sees that as a manager, then it is very hard to say to someone that they have to go.

United face West Ham at Upton Park on Sunday, having lost just once in 16 games in all competitions. The are placed in the top four in the Premier League and also have a fifth-round FA Cup trip to Preston to savour, the report added.
