London: Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher has said that he and his teammates are playing for their futures with manager David Moyes stepping up his plans for a 200 million-pound rebuild of his squad.

United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is set to open talks with Bayern Munich about the 20 million pound-plus signing of midfielder Toni Kroos while Moyes insisted that United's failure to qualify for the Champions League next season will not deter major stars from moving to Old Trafford this summer.

According to the Daily Express, Fletcher said that the players now cannot afford to ease off in their remaining five Premier League games following their Champions League elimination by Bayern Munich, in order to stay in the manager's thoughts for next season.

Fletcher further said that he and his teammates would be playing for personal pride and to be in the squad for next season.
