MS Dhoni, playing his last match as a captain showed his class with the bat scoring an unbeaten 68 off 40 balls, while hitting eight fours and two sixes in the process in a practice game for Indian A against England at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Asked to field first, the hosts scored 304 for four in their stipulated quota of overs while the maverick captain blasted 23 runs off the last over of the innings bowled by Chris Woakes. He plundered two sixes and two fours in that over to bring back memories of the long-haired aggressive Dhoni of old.

Earlier, India A were given a solid platform by Delhi batsman Shikhar Dhawan (63 off 84 balls, 8x4, 1x6) and discarded Indian middle order bat Ambati Rayudu (100 off 97 balls, 11x4, 1x6). Rayudu, after scoring his century was called back to the pavilion, paving way for Mahi to enthral the crowd and he did not disappoint.

From there on it was all Yuvraj and Dhoni show. The left hander never looked out of touch as he scored with a strike rate of more than hundred while displaying exquisite sense of timing. When he went back to the pavilion, he had already scored 56 off 48 balls (6x4, 2x6).

Yuvraj had already fired the warning shots that he and Dhoni may turn back the clock and play with freedom like they used to do in their younger days. This was just the trailer, movie is still left to bee seen.
