Petra Kvitova cruised to victory in the Madrid Open finals with a crushing 6-1, 6-2 victory over two-time Grand slam champion Svetlana Kuznetsova.
Wimbledon champion Kvitova, who had earlier ended Serena William's 27-match unbeaten run in the semi-finals, was far too good for Russian opponent, giving her no chance in the final.
Meanwhile, Kuznetsova, who was not fully fit and had to take medical timeouts between sets, did not have any answers for Kvitova powerful services and returns.
Jubilant after the victory, Kvitova said that she was very happy to win to title for the second time, the BBC reported.
The world number four finished the first set in less than 30 minutes as her opponent failed to counter her strong services and returns.
Kuznetsova, who returned with heavily wrapped left thigh for the second set, immediately dropped serve and from there on, Kvitova cruised to victory.
