Liverpool's English Premier League title hopes suffered a huge blow after Brendan Rodgers' side squandered a three goal lead to a stunning 3-3 draw away to Crystal Palace in their clash on Monday.

Liverpool looked sure of a victory with their 3-0 score and 11 minutes left in the game after goals from Joe Allen, Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.

However, Palace, with seemingly nothing to play for, made a surprise comeback turning the match on its head with Dwight Gayle scoring twice after Damien Delaney's 79th minute goal brought their side into the match, Sport24 reported.

Although the draw helped Liverpool surge to the top of the table, but they are just one point clear of second-placed Manchester City, who have two games still to play compared to Rodgers' squad's one, the report added.

Chelsea's title hopes have also been kept alive with Liverpool's draw, the report further added.
