On third day of first test match between India and Sri Lanka, first session has been quite eventful. Chandimal and Thirimanne were saved by umpiring errors. But Indian spinners claimed very important wickets of Kumar Sangakkara and Angelo Mathews.

Mathews and Sangakkar built a steady partnership of 87 runs before R Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane broke it by taking a magnificent catch of Sangakkara. Kumar Sangakkara was applauded on his way back to the pavilion.

In the very next over, Amit Mishra took out Angelo Mathews to wobble the otherwise steady ship.

Varun Aaron gave a brilliant start to the Indian side by taking a wicket on the first ball of the day. But later on he and Harbhajan Singh let runs leak.

With this speed and sunny weather, looks like the match will be over soon.
