Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton hopes Red Bull's dominance would end in the upcoming Formula One season and make it the 'most exciting year' for some time.

Hamilton has reportedly admitted that he is tired of watching Sebastian Vettel keep winning for Red Bull and said that having 'your ass whopped so badly' with one team winning continuously for four years is not good for the sport.

According to the BBC, Hamilton hopes that the rule changes introduced in Formula One racing this year would make a difference in the result, as everybody wants a championship that 'goes to the wire'.

Hamilton also said that he has told people, who meet him at all the different airports he has been flying to and keep telling him that they used to watch formula one but have stopped now, to watch this year's Grand Prix as this is such a new year with so many changes, the report added.

Mercedes have reportedly been the most impressive team in pre-season testing, with Hamilton, who heads into this weekend's season-opening race in Australia as favourite, completing the most miles, while Red Bull have had a difficult time with poor reliability and lacking performance from their Renault engine.
