78' SUBSTITUTION. The visitors make their final change of the day bringing on D. Boateng for Dani García.

76' ALMOST A BRACE FOR CHICHARITO!! Pepe plays a good ball into the area for Chicharito, but the striker doesn't make good contact and sends the ball over the bar. Appeals of deflection are waived of by the referee.

70' GREAT CHANCE. The new substitute straight away makes an impression as he latches onto the end of a through ball and breaks into the area. Pepe does well to prevent him from taking a shot but collides with his oncoming keeper Navas in the process.

58' Lucas Silva seems to discuss some tactics on the bylines as Ancelotti is prepared to make his first substitution of the day. Good time for the young Brazilian to mark his presence.

54' COULD HAVE BEEN ONE MORE FOR CHICHARITO. Again an Arbeloa cross is met by Hernandez, but this time his effort bounces off the far post.

49' Second booking for the visitors as Arruabarrena receives a yellow card just four minutes into the field.

41' Didac Vila goes into the referee's books as he receives a yellow card for a challenge on Jese.

35' STAT ATTACK: That free-kick goal from Ronaldo was his first for almost over an year. The last time he converted a free-kick was against Sevilla in March 2014.

32' With that goal, Hernandez has certainly proved what he is worth. Much speculation was being made regarding the minutes he gets to play. But now that he is given a chance, he steps upto it and scores.

Carlo Ancelotti opts to rest some key players ahead of the midweek Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.  Iker Casillas, Daniel Carvajal and Karim Benzema are left on the subs bench, replaced by Keylor Navas, Alvaro Arbeloa and Javier Hernandez.

Pre-match:
After much speculation, Javier Hernandez finally gets a start ahead of Benzema, who remains on the bench.
Spanish trio of Jese, Isco and Illara make it to the starting XI as Bale, James and Kroos miss out.
Casillas too, is benched as Keylor Navas starts today.

Confirmed Lineups for La Liga match: Real Madrid v/s SD Eibar

Real Madrid XI (4-3-3): Navas, Arbeloa, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Modric, Illara, Isco, Ronaldo, Chicharito, Jese
Real Madrid subs: Casillas, Nacho, Carvajal, Lucas Silva, Javi Munoz, Pepe, Benzema

SD Eibar XI (4-5-1): Irureta, Lillo, Anibarro, Raul Navas, Vila, Dani Garcia, Borja, Capa, Javi Lara, Saul, del Moral
SD Eibar subs: YET TO CONFIRM

Carlo Ancelotti's men will look to continue their good run post the international break as they face SD Eibar on Saturday. The side saw a hint of lacklustre when crucial players like Luka Modric, James Rodriguez and Sergio Ramos were sidelined due to injury. But the side now look solid, with all three returning from injury and resuming their noble services. Especially James Rodriguez, who marked his return with two assists against the 9-1 hammering of Granada CF and a goal in the midweek match against Rayo Vallecano. The Los Blancos have netted an astonishing 11 goals in their previous two fixtures and conceded just one.

But the side had a huge blow in their previous game against Rayo, when Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez and Cristiano Ronaldo received a yellow card each, giving them a one match suspension. However, to the relief of Real Madrid, the decision of Ronaldo's yellow card was rescinded by the Spanish federation as the Portuguese forward did not seem to have 'dived' on a challenge on him in the penalty box.

Ancelotti also confirmed that he will be resting Gareth Bale for the upcoming fixture. Ancelotti would reshuffle the squad a bit due to non-availability of Kroos and James. Spanish players, Illaramendi and Isco will probably make it to the starting XI along with Croatian star Luka Modric. Whereas, another Spanish forward, Jese, will fill the gap for Bale, playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

On the other hand, 14th placed SD Eibar, are 6 points adrift from relegation zone and will look to stay out of it. They come to the Bernabeu with a torrid form. Although they won their previous fixture against Malaga, they have lost three and drawn one of their last five.

Los Galacticos shouldn't face any problems and will look to seal a comfortable victory against the visitors. The absence of Toni Kroos, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez from the starting lineup may be a disadvantage for the home team. But the inclusion of Asier Illaramendi, Isco and Jese will do the trick, considering the fact that the players are suspended for just one game.

(Real Madrid will miss the services of Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale for this fixture)

Cristiano Ronaldo will look to score more goals as he chases Lionel Messi's record of highest number of goals in one season. The Real Madrid man is just 13 strikes shy of Lionel Messi's record of 50 goals, and just has just 7 match days to get past that record.

The last time these two sides met, was a La Liga clash where Real Madrid eased pass Eibar, wiining 4-0. Cristiano Ronaldo hit a brace while James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema, both hit one each to add to the tally. Watch the video highlights of the game below:
