Kolo Toure insists he is ready to see out the final year of his contract at Manchester City after rejecting a move to Turkish club Bursaspor.

With City manager Roberto Mancini keen to sign Athletic Bilbao's Spain international Javi Martinez, who can play both in central defence and midfield, and the club also interested in Liverpool defender Daniel Agger, Toure faces an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium.

The former Arsenal defender became a peripheral figure in Mancini's team following his return from African Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast in February, but despite the doubts over his

prospects of first-team football, Toure admits he is prepared to fight for his place at City.

"I did speak to the people there [Bursaspor], but I'm just focusing on City," said Toure, whose bother also plays for the club.

"I'm a City player, I still enjoy it here and you can see that. I love playing at the same club as my brother, but we will see what will happen. I've got one year left on my contract and that's it.

"At the moment I am still at Manchester City and all my commitment is to the club, but you never know the future."

Despite the disruption caused to his City appearances by last season's month-long commitments with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, Toure insists he is determined to represent his country again when they contest the next Cup of Nations, in South Africa in 2013.

He said, "The African Cup of Nations is being held again next January and it is going to be really exciting for my country.

"We have never won it and we were so disappointed to lose in the final in February. I will keep playing for the national team until I feel I can't offer them anything. Yaya is going to carry on as well."
