Kidambi Srikanth leads Indian charge in Round Two of Swiss Grand Prix

Top Indian male shuttler Kidambi Srikanth, along with three others, reached the second round of USD 120,000 Swiss Grand Prix Gold badminton championship.

World No. 5 Srikanth, who hogged the limelight last year, after winning the China Super Series Premier, defeated France's Lucas Corvee 21-18 21-10 in the opening round.

The top seeded Indian from Andra Pradesh will next take on Germany's Dieter Domke. Among others, Dutch Open winner Ajay Jayaram defeated fifth seed Hong Kong's Hu Yun 21-7 21-7, in a lop-sided match and will clash with Belgium's Yuhan Tan next.

Anand Pawar, seeded 16th, saw off Switzerland's Joel Koenig 21-11 21-13, to set up a fight with Daren Liew of Malaysia, while B Sai Praneeth, seeded 12th, brushed aside Croatia's Luka Zdenjak 21-9 21-9. The 22-year-old will take on Malaysia's Beryno Jiann Tze Wong next.

In men's doubles, Indian duo of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy, will meet Indonesian pair of Wahyu Nayaka Arya Pankaryanira and Ade Yusuf on Wednesday.
