Marussia driver Jules Bianchi's father Philippe has revealed that there has been no change in the Formula One racer's condition after his horrific crash during the Japanese Grand Prix.

The Frenchman crashed into a recovery vehicle at Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix and was taken to hospital with head injuries. He suffered a diffuse axonal injury, with doctors confirming that he was in a critical but stable condition.

And on Friday, Philippe Bianchi provided an update on his son, saying that Professor Saillant and the Italian specialist who came at the request of Ferrari are cooperating fully with the local doctors, The Mirror reported.

So, Philippe said that Jules could not be better cared for. He added that there are no significant changes and everyone knows that his son is in a critical phase.

But, Philippe said that Jules fights like he has always fought, just as in the races, adding that his son is strong. He said that he does not want to see the video, adding that it is difficult to speak of a racing incident.

Philippe also said that to him it is more like a traffic accident, adding that depending on what happens, he would surely have something to say later.

Philippe also praised the tremendous amount of support he and his family have received from the world in the past week.
