Former Australian Test pacer Jason Gillespie has said that England will handle the Australian bowling attack better than the Australians themselves in the back-to-back Ashes series.

Gillespie, who recently had a coaching stint with Zimbabwe franchise Mid-West Rhinos, has now advanced to English county Yorkshire where he is winning plaudits for his thoughtful and dedicated guidance of a famous club, News.com.au reports.

Stating that the touring Australian squad will face a strong attack from the English bowlers, Gillespie named James Anderson as the bowler whom the Australians should fear most, adding that with his fast swing action and good form, Anderson will be a real handful to the Australians.

According to Gillespie, the tourists will face another danger in the form of Anderson's finger-spinning teammate Graeme Swann, adding that Swann bowls particularly well to left-handed batsmen, which, he added, is plentiful in the Australian squad.

However, Gillespie said that he has not lost confidence on Australian bowling and has pointed out Peter Siddle as one of the best, adding that Siddle is having to be the enforcer, the leader of the pack, the wicket-taker and the container in the squad, although he added that it would have helped Siddle if he had a specific role.

Gillespie also commended the selection of Chris Rogers in the Australian Ashes squad, saying that the veteran has performed consistently over a long period of time for which he has got his reward, adding that Australian batting has had slim pickings over the last few years.
