Jamie Vardy to Arsenal? Report suggests Gunners have triggered Foxes striker's release clause

According to a report in the Metro, Arsenal have made a bid that will trigger Jamie Vardy’s release cause. The Foxes and England forward, who is 29, signed a new with the Leicester City which is believed to be around £80,000-a-week in February. It’s believed that the release cause could be between £25m-£30m. Incidentally, Arsenal had also thought that had triggered Suarez's release clause when he was at Liverpool but that didn't end well. 

Vardy was one of the shining lights of this Premier League season as the former medical splint maker and non-league footballer who was arrested for assault, Vardy terrorised defences with his pace. Along the way he broke Ruud Van Nistlerooy’s record of scoring in 10 consecutive games Premier League games, including some absolute crackers.  Incidentally, 

Vardy’s form saw him called up for the English national team squad as well.
