James Anderson says England has more important things to worry about than Kevin Pietersen's 'sad book'

England cricketer James Anderson has hit back at ousted batsman Kevin Pietersen's autobiography, branding the whole affair as 'sad', and saying that they have got more important things to worry about than 'someone's book'.

Anderson rejected the claims of a divided dressing room, saying that the issues that have been brought up are sad really. He added that the dressing room for the seven or eight years they were winning and successful was fantastic.

Anderson said that one does not achieve what the England squad did during that period without all the guys pulling in the same direction. He added that he cannot get his head round it as Pietersen seems like he has not enjoyed it for any of the time he was there, but they all enjoyed it, The Guardian reported.

The England bowler said that he would like to think that the future dressing room issues could stay in house and not be played out in public like this. He added that this is not an ideal situation but it's different with Pietersen.

Anderson said that Pietersen never got a chance to stand up for himself in the dressing room because the opportunity to be in the dressing room was taken away from him by the powers that be, adding that the ousted batsman is now venting his frustration through a book.
