The MCA is really upset with the decision to not include Mumbai’s most consistent batsman.

Mumbai Cricket Association officials are furious with the national selection panel who ignored Wasim Jaffer for the first two Tests against Australia despite his remarkable consistency this season. MCA joint secretary Nitin Dalal said, “We were looking forward to seeing his name in the squad. Every time we thought the selectors would pick him, they disappointed. The MCA is really upset with the decision to not include Mumbai’s most consistent batsman. He has served Mumbai cricket for long and has been very consistent in the last decade or so.”

“In fact he could not play the whole Ranji Trophy this year but still managed to score so many runs. He scored 80 and a hundred in Irani Cup against a quality attack. What else do you want?” he asked.
