World number one golfer Rory McIlroy has expressed that it would be foolish to rule 'contender' American golfer Tiger Woods out of the Augusta Masters, which starts on Thursday. Earlier in the week, 14-time major champion Woods ended his self-imposed two-month sabbatical from the game by confirming that he would play in the Masters.

McIlroy said that Golf is always a bit more exciting with Woods in the field, adding that it would be foolish to rule him out as a contender as he has got that remarkable ability to surprise them all, the Mirror reported.

Woods, who ranks 104 in the current rankings, withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in February, his second start of the season, because of tightness in his back, stating that he was taking an indefinite break from the professional game.
